Pinhook Vertical Series 4 Year Old Tiz Rye Time

This straight rye whiskey is proofed at 97 and has aromas of tangerine peel, cinnamon stick, and toffee, which transition to a palate of dried apricot, molasses, toasted cedar and clove.

The Vertical Series is a unique opportunity to follow a group of 450 MGP rye barrels, as they age from four to twelve years, and experience the arc of flavors throughout the nine-year journey. Beginning with this inaugural vintage, Pinhook will blend a new batch of approximately 50 rye barrels each spring and set a proof to maximize the balance and complexity of the whiskey at that age. The Bourbon Vertical Series launched in the fall of 2019, and the 5-year-old bottling will be released this fall. The Vertical Rye is dedicated to Tiz Rye Time, a talented young colt who had completed four races at the time of the 4 Year vintage’s release.
