The Macallan 1861 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Replica was released in 2001 this was the second release in Macallan’s famous “Replica” series. Launched between 2002 and 2003, the Macallan Replica series aimed to reproduce the style and appearance of Macallans from times gone-by. In the distillery’s warehouses, the 1841, 1861, 1874 and 1876 were exactly recreated from very old bottles bought some years before.
